Project Summary

Pura Vida Palau and Palauan Made are small businesses in Palau promoting locally made Palauan products and empowering women and youth entrepreneurs. Palau has a small and somewhat saturated domestic market which makes it challenging to maximize their economic potential. These companies and other local enterprises rely on tourists as their major customers. With a strategic framework, Pura Vida Palau and Palauan Made seek the help of volunteer Marketing Consultants (Team of 2) to recommend strategies for brand development and marketing for domestic and export enterprises. (3 month project)

Deliverables:

Provide an extensive report on each business to support Pura Vida Palau and Palauan Made in strengthening their brand presence and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to drive business growth and maximize economic potential.

Project Summary

EcoZoom is a Kenya based, for-profit, social enterprise that manufactures and distributes a range of solar lighting products and fuel efficient cookstoves. Our products save people time, money and help to preserve the environment through reducing deforestation and the need for dirty kerosene lamps.

EcoZoom is looking to recruit a Corporate Marketer & Storyteller with a strong track record in marketing, brand management, communications and storytelling. The Corporate Marketer & Storyteller will work with EcoZoom on a temporary project basis for 6-months and help the business expand globally more quickly by helping us create and communicate a comprehensive understanding of our progress and impact to investors, end-users and the wider general public. 

Responsibilities:

·       Work with the senior management team to gain a thorough understanding of the business history and its current strategy, fundraising and advocacy objectives. 

·       Review the existing company external communications and make recommendations to the senior management on developing a more consistent, comprehensive and strategic policy.

·       Oversee global communications and identify and pursue opportunities to increase EcoZoom’s exposure in the press and other media

·       Build relationships with the EcoZoom team as well as external partners to gather story ideas and turn these into something engaging and compelling.

·       Establish a new EcoZoom storyline for social media, investors and strategic partners and provide full training to the EcoZoom team on how best to maximize its effectiveness.

·       Be able to collect and collaborate on visuals, graphic design, photography and video.
